Some dogs become part of your breeding program. Others become part of your story from the very first second of their life.

Zyde was the very first puppy born in the very first Empyrean litter. The dark green-collared boy who took his first breath in my hands. That moment will forever remain one of the most unforgettable memories of my life, because with him, a dream that had lived in my heart for years finally became reality.

His mother, Incredible Art ElderFlower, came to me from Russia. She is an International Champion and champion of numerous countries, and I will always be grateful to her breeder, Arina Tarasova, for entrusting me with such an extraordinary female. His father, Ndoki Gentle George, had captured my heart long before I ever met him in person. His magnificent appearance, beautiful head, and outstanding temperament convinced me that one day he would become the sire of my very first litter. My sincere thanks also go to Petra and Michael Bossard for making that dream possible.

From the very beginning, Zyde drew my attention with his observant nature. Week after week, his beautiful head, balanced construction, and confident presence confirmed what my heart had already decided—that he was the puppy who would stay.

Looking back today, I have never doubted that decision.

Zyde has matured into an elegant, balanced, and dignified male. He possesses a quiet confidence that never seeks attention, yet naturally earns respect. He is thoughtful rather than impulsive, calm rather than demanding, and carries himself with the noble self-assurance that I admire so much in the Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Unlike dogs who instantly seek everyone’s affection, Zyde chooses his moments carefully. He is reserved with strangers, preferring to observe before offering his trust. To those who truly know him, however, he reveals a loyal, deeply devoted companion whose quiet presence speaks louder than words ever could. He has no need to prove himself, avoids unnecessary conflict whenever possible, yet possesses the strength and confidence to stand his ground when it truly matters.

His athletic body, strong construction, and beautifully masked head—so reminiscent of his father—are matched by an equally beautiful mind. He enjoys learning, loves spending time with his family, and is happiest where he feels most at home: exploring forests, splashing through streams, and sharing peaceful adventures with those he trusts.

Today, Zyde is a Junior Champion, Champion, Grand Champion, and International Champion, with titles earned in several countries. While I am incredibly proud of every achievement, none of them compare to the pride I feel each time I look at him and remember that he was the very first life born under the Empyrean name.

For me, Zyde will always be more than an accomplished champion. He is the beginning of a dream, the foundation of a vision, and a daily reminder of why I chose this path. No title could ever mean more than that.
