Yesterday evening we attended the first day of the Sárvár CACIB weekend. Although it was a three-day show, we decided to enter only the opening day. Our goal was to start Hunter’s journey towards his Grand Champion title while also enjoying the opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones.
We were especially excited about this show, as it was Hunter’s first appearance since the World Dog Show, where he proudly won the Open Class. We were looking forward to seeing how he would perform this time.
Unfortunately, things did not go exactly as planned. Shortly before the show, Hunter suffered an injury that we simply could not avoid. Since we had already made the trip, we decided to do our best and make the most of the situation.
Sadly, the injury affected his performance in the ring. Hunter was unable to show the powerful, effortless movement that is so typical of him, and at times the effects of the injury were noticeable.
For that reason, we are especially grateful to the respected judge for recognizing Hunter’s quality and rewarding him with such outstanding results. Judge: Stefan Sinko (SVN)

We are incredibly proud to have started Hunter’s Grand Champion campaign with such an amazing achievement.
However, due to his injury, we decided not to stay for the Best in Show competition. We felt it would not have been fair to ask him to enter the BIS ring in his condition. Hunter’s health and well-being will always come before any title or trophy.
Now it’s time for some well-deserved rest and recovery. We hope to see him back in the ring soon, showing the beautiful movement and confidence we all know and love.
